John McCalla

Head of Software Architecture

John McCalla is the original architect of the Bluestreak interactive TV platform. He started his career in the imaging products group at Matrox Electronics Systems, and during his five-year tenure with the company he designed a new COM-based SDK for imaging applications (Matrox ActiveMIL) and successfully led a team of developers in its deployment.

Mr. McCalla's experience also includes work as a software design team leader in industrial, medical, and semiconductor vision systems. Prior to joining the executive team at Bluestreak, he served as software architect for the iTV division of ZAQ. Mr. McCalla is a graduate of McGill University, where he earned a BS degree in computer science.
